The Smoky Mountain Brass Quintet (SMBQ), with the support of the Jackson County Arts Council, commissioned internationally known musician, David Sampson, to compose a fanfare to be played by the SMBQ at the grand opening of the new Jackson County Public Library Complex. The composition has just arrived! Members of the Quintet look forward to performing the new fanfare titled “Smoky Mountain Fanfare”. They plan to frame and display the composition in the new library.
